Greetings again,
I'm running into a new issue with my VIX code, similar to one reported a few years back:
http://communities.vmware.com/message/482715
Here is the error...
SyncWaitQ: Too many file descriptors are in use by the process.
VMware Workstation Error:
VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (app)
SyncWaitQ: Too many file descriptors are in use by the process.
A log file is available in "/tmp/vmware-root/vix-25521.log". Please request support and include the contents of the log file.
To collect data to submit to VMware support, select Help > About and click "Collect Support Data". You can also run the "vm-support" script in the Workstation folder directly.
We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement.
I'm also calling from a daemon, but I really don't have the option of leaving the connection open. Is this a known issue still? If so, is there any chance of the root cause of the file handle leak getting addressed?
I've attached the log if it helps. I also have a support contract if you think I should open a case on this.
Thanks!
- Chris
