I use a guest VM to perform automated tests. My tests will fail with "Guest tools is not running" fairly regularly. This happens even though I perform two WaitForToolsInGuest operations (with no timeout) prior to any operation that requires the tools to be running.
The failures happen at different times. I've checked the guest when it happans and it appears that the tools are still running. At least the icon is still displayed in the task tray.
Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?
